A single serve of Spearmint and Rose Petal Tisane.

IMG_9011This tea is very calming to the nervous system and uplifting to the mood. Wonderful for keeping the skin looking good and for the digestion too.

Ingredients: Certified organic Spearmint, certified organic Red and Pink Rose Petals.

Roses contain a substance which helps to keep collagen connections strong. Collagen is the elastic part of your skin and smooth muscle tissue, so that means this tea is good for the health of your heart and the whole cardiovascular system, your reproductive system and your skin.

Spearmint, sweeter and more gentle than peppermint, is a very cooling and calming herb. It aids digestion and helps to calm the nerves and any inflammation.

To make your Tisane

First boil some water. Remove your paper tea bag from its plastic bag. Keep the paper teabag folded over to avoid spilling the Tisane herbs. Pour the boiled water into a cup and gently lower your teabag into the cup. Leave to steep for 5-10 minutes (depending on your flavour preference) then using a teaspoon carefully remove teabag and place on a saucer. Sit back, relax and enjoy the delicate flavours and uplifting effect of your Spearmint and Rose Petal Tisane.

Alternatively, if you prefer the tea to circulate freely in the water, you can pour the contents of the teabag into a small, one cup teapot and use a tea strainer when pouring the tea into your cup before drinking.

This teabag can also be used:

  1. In a foot bath to soothe and refresh sore, tired feet.
  2. As a steam bath for soft, glowing skin. Make sure your skin is cleansed before starting. Boil some water and pour into a small heat proof bowl. Place the teabag into the small bowl of water then put the bowl onto a table such as a dining table. Sitting comfortably in a chair, lean over the bowl (carefully to avoid spilling the hot water) and place a towel over your head and the bowl to create a steam tent. Allow the steam from the bowl to caress the skin for about 5-10 minutes. Then pat the skin dry and immediately apply a spritzer and moisturiser while the skin is still damp. Note: be very careful not to burn yourself with the boiled water or tip over the bowl while doing this.

BE Ritual Instructions

Turn off the telephone, make sure you will not be disturbed and set aside time to nurture yourself completely.

While you are running your bath boil a kettle of water and make some Balanced Energy Tisane (or tea of choice), if you wish you can also light some candles and draw the blinds in the bathroom so that you create a soft lit environment to relax in. You may also wish to have some relaxing music or nature sounds playing.

Once your bath is ready add the Bath Salts and stir into the bath, pour your tisane into a cup, and slip into your warm, aromatherapy bath. Relax for 20 minutes while you sip tea and soak. Take some deep breaths to help the body detoxify, rebalance and re-energise.

Shower afterwards and then follow with Balanced Massage Blend or Balanced Body Balm while the skin is slightly damp to soften and lock in moisture, naturally.
